They were tossed from a moving vehicle on a frigid winter night. They ran after the car until it was out of sight. Then they stood on the dark road shivering and crying.
Left behind.
These pups were rescued by a woman who’d witnessed the scene. What would have happened to them if she hadn’t been there?

The Animal Shelter in Claiborne County is Happening!
Dan and Shane Piercy, developers of Shenandoah Springs, donated a complete excavation!!
The Claiborne Animal Shelter is under construction. The footers are poured, the first two rows of block have been laid, and the plumbing will soon go in. After that, it's a concrete floor and the walls will go tumbling up, er, I mean, shooting up!
Stop by and check it out - it is a sight to behold.
If you're not familiar with Claiborne County, we're in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northeast Tennessee.
The shelter property is at the end of Ritchie and Lewis Drive, behind Volunteer Knitting. (403 Old Knoxville Hwy, New Tazewell)
Use this link to find us on the map. Or, you can call our office at 423-626-2686 and ask Ruby how to get there.
Ya'll stop by now, hear?
